Heard this morning that Steven Puri is leaving his EVP/Co-Head, Development gig at Kurtzman/Orci for a VP slot at Fox.  TrackingB.com has it, too, plus word that Sarah Dodge is leaving Dimension.

Finke: Scott Bernstein Upped To Uni EVP Of Production

Universal Pictures Co-Chairman Donna Langley today announced that a senior member of Universal’s production team, Scott Bernstein, would be promoted to Executive Vice President of Production.

Universal Pictures Co-Chairman Donna Langley today announced that Jeffrey Kirschenbaum has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Production. He’ll report to recently named President of Production Debbie Liebling.

Executive Move: Joe LeFavi leaving Henson

The second most-liked executive in Hollywood, Joe LeFavi, is leaving Henson as of mid-January.  He'll continue to manage the Henson's publishing imprint, Archaia Comics, but will otherwise be a freelance story editor while he seeks other opportunities.

Nikki: 3 Agents Leave WME To Form Own Firm [UPDATED]

Motion picture lit agents Bill Weinstein, Bryan Besser and Adam Levine were Endeavor alumni who stayed through the merger with William Morris.

New company is called Verve (not to be confused with Verve Entertainment, Spencer Robinson's management company).   We'll update the grid with their address and phone number when it's available.  Nikki's got some additional details about their split from WME.

UPDATE (per Nikki):  

I hear Bill's brother Adam Weinstein, an ICM motion picture lit agent, is joining Verve, too. And Verve has just issued a press release with this joint statement: "We believe that in the ever-changing marketplace of today, artists need a focused, entrepreneurial, team-oriented group of agents. Verve will shift the emphasis from agency-first culture to artist-first representation." It says confirmed clients joining Verve include Joe Kosinski (Tron, Legacy), Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine, Toy Story 3), and Aaron Guzikowski (Prisoners).

Nikki: ICM Axes MP Lit Agent Nick Reed

He used to co-head ICM's motion picture lit department until 2008 when Nicole Clemens was put in sole charge. The agency is working to "transition" his clients, which means they're hoping to keep all of them even though he'll be gone. Word is Nick Reed will try to become a producer.

Executive Moves

Emails and tracking board posts swept through the community this morning that Warner Bros. VP Matt Reilly is leaving the studio to partner with David Gordon Green, Danny McBride and Jody Hill in a new company, to be called Rough House, which will have a first look deal with Mandate Pictures.  UPDATE:  Here's the Variety article: http://bit.ly/8Q8D7r  [With their new paywall, you may have to be a subscriber to view it.]
